From the below link which you have mentioned I got some Idea using that I solved the Issue. Actually what I have done is instead of reading the title of the layout column I passed the title name to the layout column, Now based on the passed name the script is changing it behavior. Thank you once again for the help. Regards Azmath |

Thank you for your suggestion, actually I have completed this traceability matrix script using attribute only. But my client is asking me to do in layout columns. Both Layout column and attributes having their own advantages and disadvantages. Thanks for your suggestions. |
Re: How to Get the Layout Column Name using Dxl Scripting Now I have one more question. Is that possible to search the traceability data in the perticular baseline version? |
Re: How to Get the Layout Column Name using Dxl Scripting azmath_india - Thu May 27 00:32:56 EDT 2010 I would take a guess: You baselined your modules, you did not use a baseline set and now you want to do traceability. Answer: The bad news is that probably the information which baseline belongs to which is not available in DOORS anymore. Even more complicating the issue is, that you did not baseline them at the same time, so you cannot be sure that the link target still exists in the baseline. So you will need to tell your traceability script exactly, in what baseline to look, and you need to manually locate the target object. You need to handle special cases like "The link is there, it is supposed to go to object XYZ, but object XYZ does not exist in the target module". Use the Module load(...) perm to open the baseline.
